
We have to collect 2,000 signatures to get on the ballot for 2012. We cannot start collecting these signatures until 2012, not more than 70 days nor less than 56 days before the state primary. The candidate must file a WRITTEN REQUEST BY WRITE-IN CANDIDATES FOR FEDERAL AND STATE OFFICE on or before October 29, 2008. The form requires the name at least one candidate for presidential elector, and the name of the vice-presidential candidate. The total number of names of candidates for presidential elector on the form may not exceed the total number of electoral votes (10) to be cast by Minnesota in the presidential election.
